TOURS The Kelowna Land and Orchard Co. Ltd. is open at 9:00a.m. every day to visitors. If booking for a group, please call ahead of time to make arrangements for scheduling.
WALKING TOUR Our walking tour is a series of information signs. The tour is self-guided and there are picnic tables along the way, the perfect places to relax and enjoy one of our boxed lunches. Depending on how fast you are, the walking tour usually takes about 20 minutes. WAGON TOURS Visitors ride on our covered hay wagon which seats 55 passengers. The guided tour allows visitors to have a unique behind the scenes view of a historical orchard that has been in operation since 1904. The farm is 3rd generation family owned and uses modern environmentally sound techniques for growing 15 different varieties of apples. As the season progresses, seasonal orchard techniques are explained and demonstrated.
Visitors will see the farms, thinning, and irrigation systems, learn about the planting and care of the dwarf tree plantation and learn why trees are grafted (not planted by seed) on KLO tour. For our guided hay wagons, The tour costs 5.25 plus GST for adults 2.00 for students and children under 12 are free. For groups of over 10 people, the rate is 4.00 + GST for adults.
SCHOOL TOURS In September and October, May and June we offer school tours and hundreds of school children visit the farm for an in-depth view of what it takes to grow an apple. The tours are adapted to the age of the students. They enjoy a 45 minute tour and a sample of our 100% pure apple juice.
