FUJI
APPLES
We use old Asian technology to grow the perfect Fuji apple. These apples
are carefully shielded from the sun in paper bags until the last five days of
maturation when the bags are removed and the apples are allowed to
ripen.

Another innovative technique being used is apples that are ripened with a
stencil applied to the skin, allowing the ripe fruit to be branded with a
corporate logo.

The process begins immediately following blossom by identifying the strong pollination areas in the orchard.
We then thin the fruit on the trees, leaving only the biggest and
the strongest. The reason for this is to produce large and well-colored fruit. Late June, early July we cover the individual apples with a specially constructed bag produced for us in Japan where this technique originated. Late September, early October we remove the bags and put an individual decal on the apples we feel are going to develop properly. The fruit is then left on the tree until it reaches proper color and maturity. Ideally 15 brix or better. The fruit is then harvested and segregated, boxed and shipped or stored for a period of time until the customer requires the fruit.
