FARM ANIMALS
Guests enjoy viewing our farm animals.  Kelowna Land and Orchard is home to many goats, baby sheep born in the spring, rabbits, "Blue", the miniature pony, "Dieter" the donkey, llamas and alpacas.  Our chickens even have their own "saloon!".  Many of our animals came to us from unfortunate circumstances and we are happy to see them enjoy a home on the farm.  Many other wild animals make their homes in the orchard and you never know what you'll see when you're on our orchard tours!  The two most well known animals on the farm are the working farm dogs, Angel and Belle.

DOGS

Belle is a Border Collie.  She is 5 years old and when a
t the farm she is very busy leading the tour wagon and herding the animals that stray.  She takes her jobs very seriously.

As a special attraction you might see "Hunter" streaking by at a rapid rate on one of her many adventures.  Hunter is an Irish Setter puppy who's everyone's best friend.

Angel is a Maremma guardian dog.  She is 7 years old and weighs 140 pounds.  She is a working farm dog but finishes her working day at noon.

PETTING ZOO

Guests to our farm enjoy visiting our farm animals in their western style town. This year the chickens moved into the "Chicken Saloon" and the goats moved into their "Mine Shaft Tower". We will soon be busy building two other
new buildings to complete their town. We welcomed 60 new chickens this past year to the farm. We have "Mottled Houdans", "Mille Fleurs", "Araucanas" and "Danish Brown Leghorns".

We welcomed a baby goat to the farm last year. She came to us at 2 weeks old. We bottle fed her, let her sleep on our couches, drove her around in our cars and let her live in our houses until she was old enough to live in the petting zoo!
