ABOUT US
Kelowna Land and Orchard Company Ltd. is a working farm
situated a short distance (10 minutes) from the center of
Kelowna. Along with our working orchard we have a farm
market selling fresh fruit, a petting zoo and our own delicious
100% pure farm fresh apple juice that is made on site. A large
selection of local crafts, preserves and souvenirs are also sold in
our farm store. Kelowna Land and Orchard's farm operation is
one of the largest and most modern orchard operations in
Canada and tour groups are provided with a guided tour riding
on a farm wagon.

CLIMATE
The hot dry weather in the Okanagan is ideal for growing apples.
High sunlight and temperature levels are ideal for apple colouring
and yield. The low rainfall level reduces the impact of disease.

PRODUCTION
The orchard currently consists of 150 acres and produces
approximately 4 million pounds of fruit annually. About
98% of BC apples are produced in the Okanagan Similkameen
valleys. BC produces about 30% of apples grown in
Canada, Kelowna Land and Orchard being one of the largest
producers.

GOALS
The goal of Kelowna Land and Orchard is to continue to use
modern environmentally sound techniques for growing apples
and to give our many visitors who come to visit our farm
from all over the world the experience of observing a
working farm.
